GRP (FRP) Moulded and Pultruded Gratings

GRP (FRP) Composite Gratings are polyester resin composite products with industrial and agricultural treatment advantages, which are advantageous for chemical and corrosion resistance, physical strength, together with continuous glass fiber reinforcement.

GRP (FRP) Composite Gratings are produced by systematically pouring special polyester resins into the mold by wrapping them in layers of continuous glass fiber wicks. Thanks to the uninterrupted one-piece glass fiber fibers containing the molded grille panel, it ensures that both profiles of the composite grille are durable. Thanks to its resin structure, it is resistant to high corrosion and impacts. It is not affected by chemicals, salt water, waste water. Corrosion resistance is higher than metal gratings.

GRP (FRP) Composite Gratings are produced in one piece and there are no mechanical parts connecting the parts, which makes the grill withstand heavier loads.

GRP (FRP) Composite Gratings include creating floor solutions that do not slip and are not required in environmental conditions, making walkways and creating environmental restriction devices such as fences and fences.

Advantages of GRP (FRP) Composite Gratings;

Lightness Advantage;

Cast iron, which is equivalent, is much lighter than iron or stainless gratings. This feature provides lower transportation and assembly costs.

Advantage of resistance to heavier loads;

Physical tensile, bending and compression resistance are much higher than cast iron or stainless gratings. As its elasticity is higher than that of metal, it stretches back to its original form when it is exposed to heavy loads.

Corrosion resistance advantage;

Since FRP composite gratings do not contain metal, they do not corrode, do not corrode, do not require paint and maintenance.

Dielectric insulating advantage;

It produces floor solutions that comply with OHSAS conditions with its structures that do not conduct electricity. Dielectric is insulator, it is generally preferred in front of the electrical panel and in duct solutions where electricity is not wanted.

Physical advantages:

Thanks to polyester and uninterrupted glass fiber reinforcements, they do not expand or withdraw according to temperature conditions, and their insulation values are good. Unlike metal gratings, it is not magnetic. They do not deform in open areas exposed to UV rays.

Advantage of easy cutting and processing;

They can be easily cut or drilled with power tools, which allows for quick and easy refurbishment in the enterprise.

There is no recycling;

Since it is not recyclable, it does not bear any scrap value and this prevents theft in open areas.

Self-colored structure;

Due to the color pigments placed in the resin in its production, it is not necessary to dye later and its color does not change over time. This feature offers the opportunity to clean with a pressure washer, and it is easy to clean thanks to its smooth structure.

It can be produced in any color during production.

Non-slip floor advantage;

It creates non-slip floors on oily, muddy, slippery industrial floors.

They have non-slip structures;

They can be used on oily, wet or dry grounds.

High chemical and non-flammability advantage;

In addition to the standard production with special resins to be used in its mixture, it can be produced in properties such as non-flammability and more resistant to extreme corrosive chemicals.

The advantage of using bidirectional;

Unlike metal alternatives, it has equal strength in both directions. Even if it is cut as much as needed, it does not lose anything from its strength.

What can be done with GRP (GRP, FRP) Composite Grid?

Walkways and channel covers

Rain water drain

Dielectric, insulating gratings mat construction

Stair treads and platform surfaces

Environmental limitations such as Fens and Barrier

Ground and walkway solutions in aquariums and fish farms

Walkways on ship and tanker decks

Manhole covers

Architectural ceiling applications

Vinylester Resinous FRP Grate

It is possible to produce a gratings with the highest chemical resistance by using vinylester resins in the raw material mixture of the GRP (FRP) Gratings produced with the standard production method. Vinylester resins are a high quality resin that structurally combines the best properties of polyester resins and epoxy resin. GRP (FRP) composite grids produced with vinylester resin according to your preference have high mechanical strength values such as epoxy resins, while offering easy processing like polyester resins.

It is produced for the highest strength performance in environments where your GRP (FRP) composite gratings is exposed to excessive corrosive chemicals. It is one of the resins with the highest chemical resistance among synthetic resins. In addition, it has high thermal resistance and provides good mechanical test properties and chemical resistance even at high temperatures.

Technical Information About GRP (FRP) Composite Gratings;

What is GRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyester)?

It is a composite material produced by reinforcing glass fiber and produced with medium-phytalic, isophthalic polyester or vinylester resins with high physical and chemical resistance values. GRP are used in metal, wood, glass, concrete, etc. It is a production material like other products, it is advantageous compared to other production materials with its ability to easily acquire different features suitable for its intended use.

How is GRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyester) named in the World?

GRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic) in America

FRP (Fiber Glass Reinforced Plastic) in the UK

PRFV in France (Plastique Renforce de Fibers de Verre)

GFK (Glasfaser Kunstsoffe) in Germany

PRFV in Italy (Plastici Rinforzati di Fibro di Vetro)

In Turkey, CTP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) is called.

GRP Composite grating is also known in the industry as GRP Grating, FRP Grating, Plastic grating, Polyester grating, Plastic walkway or composite plate.

Glass-reinforced polyester (GRP) gratings are a composite building material obtained by combining continuous processed glass fiber roving and resin under suitable conditions.
